Will
Director of Operations
Will was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, and began his legal career at age 18 by interning at a boutique intellectual property firm in Washington, D.C. during his undergraduate studies. Upon graduating, Will worked for over 20 years in the legal profession, first as a litigation and securities paralegal at a large international law firm, which was then followed by 15 years at a Fortune 500 student loan company managing the legal department’s business operations while supporting the company’s strategic funding initiatives. Will then went on to work as an investment officer for a neighboring local government managing the investment strategy of a $1B+ portfolio of taxpayer revenue. While volunteering at his children’s school, he decided to make a career switch by pursuing a teaching license where he then began teaching business and information technology locally, coaching varsity lacrosse, and working towards a master’s degree in education.
While he enjoyed his time in education and inspiring others, he decided that he dearly missed working in the legal services industry, which is where he spent most of his career. One of the biggest motivators for this change was that he enjoyed developing others professionally and, more importantly, the client interaction he had from his first role at a boutique law firm when he was 18.
He saw firsthand how clients were not just a number, but how they were each treated with professionalism, integrity, and respect. He also saw that the team had an exceptional familial bond, which is something that is hard to find in a large organization. He saw how these values represent a positive culture where clients are treated as family, which is how he views each and every one of our clients here at PJI Law.
Will is married to his high school sweetheart, Jen, has a son (Jacob) and a daughter (Madison) and lives in South Riding. He enjoys spending time with his family, vacationing in Corolla, NC, and watching his children’s tennis matches.
