William J. Bang
Senior Attorney
Billy was raised in the woods and water of Calvert County, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. His parents taught him at a young age that everything in life is about trust and relationships. Be honest, do your best to help people, and always believe in what you do.
At age 14, his parents sent him to work for his grandfather’s marine mechanic business to “build character.” Hauling toolboxes in the summer heat on the docks of the Waterfront in Washington, D.C., Billy did build character and develop a strong work ethic. He learned that there is pride in doing even the “dirtiest” jobs and satisfaction in honest pay for honest work.
Billy became fascinated with courts and the world of law in elementary school, where he would rush home every day to watch the O.J. Simpson trial on TV with his dad. He saw early on how powerful good advocacy can be. Billy carried this passion for advocacy through to the high school mock trial team and eventually to the George Mason University School of Law, where he graduated with honors.
Out of law school, Billy worked in private practice in northern Virginia. Excited to help anyone who needed a good advocate, he handled a wide range of legal matters. From jury trials to local zoning board meetings and appeals to the Supreme Court of Virginia, Billy’s passion for advocacy has taken him anywhere that his clients need him to go.
Billy lives in Herndon, Virginia. He is a film buff and enjoys discovering hidden gem movies, both old and new. He will always be happy to talk to you about what you have seen recently or some old favorites you revisit again and again.
