Bret Giaimo
Attorney
As the son of a lifelong restaurateur who founded and operates a chain of restaurants in the DMV area, Bret grew up learning the vital importance of providing excellent service to one’s clientele. Bret believes that practicing law is fundamentally a client service profession, as the wins and losses are not determined by the courtroom outcome but rather by their impact on the client.
While serving as a clerk for Judge Horan of the Prince William Circuit Court, Bret noticed that many attorneys often lost sight of the real people and conflicts that their cases were about. These attorneys expected their clients to conform to them rather than the other way around. Bret believes in listening to his clients for more than just the legally relevant facts, and then working with them to build a strategy tailored to their goals. Bret ensures that his clients are in the driver’s seat at every stage of their case not only by keeping them regularly updated, but also by ensuring that they understand each of the individual steps that make up their case.
Bret was born in McLean, and aside from his college years, he has lived in northern Virginia all his life. In his free time he likes to work on small woodworking projects, such as making tables and boxes, but he says he is not very good at it.
