Sarah E. Kravetz
Associate Attorney
“…Service before self…” was the phrase Sarah always grew up hearing, as it was her mom’s endless quoting of the Air Force’s motto that became Sarah’s driving force. Growing up with several family members in the Air Force, Navy, Army, or Marines, Sarah always considered joining the military in order to stay in the family business. But eventually, she realized that service was the family business. And so she vowed to serve others with the same passion and integrity that her family had when serving their country.
Sarah learned about lawyers early on when her family watched “JAG,” the television show. But it was during her mother’s custody battle that Sarah learned what a great lawyer could do and would do for their client. Where Sarah’s mom could not fight, a lawyer could, and did. With that experience, Sarah knew she wanted to become a lawyer one day with the goal of always serving her clients to the best of her ability.
Sarah’s commitment to serving clients began in Massachusetts as a certified student practitioner for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she served the East Boston community by speaking and working with victims and witnesses to prosecute criminal offenders and ensure public safety. Sarah also recognized that sometimes the best way to serve the local community was to advocate for alternative rulings, such as rehabilitation and community service. Since then, Sarah has further honed her skills in a Virginia law firm, before finding her home at PJI Law.
Sarah believes that teamwork is essential to achieving a client’s goals. She actively listens to her clients, always attempts to engage them in a genuine conversation about their concerns and goals, and together a plan is formed. Oftentimes these conversations lead to creative and alternative solutions, and not to the courtroom. But if the courtroom comes calling, those creative ideas become the foundation of her legal strategy and oral arguments.
Sarah was born in Cambridge, England, while her mom was stationed there. She calls Texas home, but currently resides in Ashburn, Virginia. While there are technically four seasons, football has its own – so, in her free time, Sarah enjoys watching college football with her friends and family. Go Texas Tech!
